Based on the success of the Project of Capacity Development for Mine Action Centers in Quang Tri Province” phase 1 (2018-2020), phase 2 of the project (2020-2021) with the long-term goal of reducing minimize the accident of mines and explosives to the community, towards a safe Quang Tri by 2025; orientation to build QTMAC into a regional mine action center and a focal point connecting with the Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC).
Accordingly, the project will be implemented in 12 months, with a total budget of 201,700 pounds, equivalent to more than 6 billion VND. Some of the main activities of the project include: continuing to support capacity building so that QTMAC can perform the function of a Mine Action Center in Quang Tri Province to coordinate and manage mine action activities in the locality. and work more closely with the National Mine Action Center (VNMAC); training human resources to ensure sustainability, continuity and operational capacity for QTMAC's local staff in knowledge, skills and experience in mine action management up to international standards; perfecting legal tools and guiding procedures related to mine recovery coordination activities in Quang Tri; advising and supporting the activities of the Steering Committee for overcoming the consequences of landmines and mines after the provincial war...
