Mr. Thai Huu Lieu, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs, Director of QTMAC; Organizers and delegates from 05 operators participating in the contest including QTMAC, MAG, NPA/RENEW, PTVN and CRS attended the Award Ceremony.
The contest took place for only 1 week from March 27 to April 2, 2024. However, the Organizers have recorded thousands of reactions and shares on Facebook so far. The contest has attracted the attention of many social network users about mine action activities in Quang Tri province in particular and Vietnam in general. This is not only an opportunity to spread beautiful images and efforts of local authorities and non-governmental organizations towards the "safe province" goal of Quang Tri but also contribute to raising mine awareness of people and communities
After reviewing and scoring entries based on the contest rules, the contest result was announced by the Organizers with the first prize going to MAG with 986 points; NPA/RENEW won second prize with 690 points; QTMAC won third prize with 344 points; both PTVN and CRS won the Consolation prizes, with 293 points and 81 points respectively. In addition, the "Most liked photo" award also went to MAG with 180 Likes.
This is the first time QTMAC has launched an online photo contest in response to the event on April 4. All the entries represent real moments, spread positivity through meaningful stories of operators in their joint efforts to "PROTECTING LIVES. BUILDING PEACE", bringing a safe life to people and communities in Quang Tri province.
