The meeting was chaired by Colonel Nghiem Xuan Long, Deputy General Director, and participated by leaders of various VNMAC departments. From QTMAC, there were Mr. Thai Huu Lieu Vice Director of Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs, Director of QTMAC, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Vu, Vice Director of QTMAC, and representatives of leaders and heads of units of QTMAC. This is an annual activity to exchange achievements gained during the year and strengthen the cooperative relationship between VNMAC and QTMAC.
At the meeting, Mr. Thai Huu Lieu informed Colonel Nghiem Xuan Long of the results of cooperation between QTMAC and VNMAC in training, information management, and quality management; discussed many points on QCVN, fundraising cooperation, and plans to promote cooperation in the coming time.
Colonel Nghien Xuan Long, VNMAC Deputy General Director received and answered the contents presented by the QTMAC delegation. He highly appreciated the closed cooperation results between VNMAC and QTMAC in the past time to realize the goal of overcoming the heavy consequences of post-war bombs, mines, and unexploded ordnances (UXO) in Vietnam in general and Quang Tri province in particular. The meeting participants highly agree to continue to further cooperate by exchanging regular visits as well as mutual technical working sessions at both VNMAC and QTMAC in order to meet the working requirements in implementing the national mine action program and the Quang Tri provincial mine action program.
