Ms. Nguyen Trieu Thuong, Director of Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs - Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Mine Action Steering Committee informed the situation and results of mine action in Quang Tri province and highly appreciated the contributions and efforts of foreign non-governmental organizations regarding mine action in Quang Tri in the past few years. She also emphasized the importance of cooperation between Quang Tri, ODC, and NPA in handling explosive remnants of war, and hoped that there would be a sustainable relationship and cooperation between Quang Tri and ODC in the future.
Major Marie Anabelee Messmer, a representative from ODC, congratulated Quang Tri on the achievements, especially QTMAC's outstanding role in the overall humanitarian mine action and facilitating for ODC to implement activities in Quang Tri during the past period, she also committed to strengthening the cooperative relationship with Quang Tri, including the field of training and capacity development for QTMAC in the near future.
