The workshop aimed at building capacity for Phu Yen province in the field of remediation consequences of landmines and mines after the war in the province to strengthen capacity and expand international cooperation, serving the sustainable development of the locality.
The workshop heard presentations from experts from MAG organization, and lecturers from Korea Jangan University. Representatives of Quang Tri Province Mine Action Center (QTMAC) delivered presentations at the Workshop to introduce the QTMAC model, share experiences in building the information management system for mine action, and experience in coordination and management of mine action at the provincial level.
The experts from QTMAC actively consulted and supported the Action Planning Group to develop and present a Project on Planning a Project of Assisting EO Victims in Phu Yen Province before the Workshop and professors from Korea Jangan University. This is a capacity-building activity for the staff of Phu Yen province in identifying needs, establishing projects, and mobilizing funds from int'l organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations.
