QTMAC was honored to participate in the Regional Workshop on Strengthening Information Management for Humanitarian Mine Action in ASEAN, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 10–12 August 2026. Convened by ARMAC and GICHD, the three-day workshop brought together ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, national mine action authorities, international mine action organizations, technical experts and regional partners to explore how stronger information management can support more effective humanitarian mine action across the region. The workshop was opened by senior representatives, including H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN. QTMAC representatives joined the panel discussion on "Operator and Partner Dialogue – Field Realities, Reporting Workflows and Practical IM Gaps" and also actively engaged in the thematic working groups, contributing practical perspectives on technical, operational, institutional and governance challenges, as well as information sharing and regional cooperation. The workshop moved beyond identifying common challenges to exploring how a future ASEAN Mine Action Information Management Hub (AIM Hub) could add practical value to the region. Through open discussions and working groups, participants shared experiences and jointly shaped priorities and next steps for the Hub. For QTMAC, the workshop was not only an opportunity to share our experience, but also to learn from regional and international partners and contribute to shaping practical approaches for stronger regional information management. Thanks to ARMAC and GICHD for organizing and facilitating this important regional dialogue, and for the chance to help shape the AIM Hub from the ground up. HỌP ĐIỀU PHỐI HOẠT ĐỘNG HIỆN TRƯỜNG QUÝ II/2026 Ngày 7/7/2026, Trung tâm Hành động bom mìn tỉnh Quảng Trị (QTMAC) tổ chức cuộc họp điều phối hoạt động hiện trường quý II/2026. Cuộc họp có sự tham gia của 30 đại biểu từ các tổ chức: MAG, NPA, NPA/RENEW, PTVN, Điều phối viên dự án Phát triển năng lực STA, cùng các Quan sát viên Quân sự (MLOs). Dưới sự chủ trì của ông Trần Văn Hải - Quản lý Hoạt động QTMAC, cuộc họp tập trung vào 3 nội dung trọng tâm: Đánh giá kết quả hoạt động & Tháo gỡ vướng mắc: các tổ chức đã báo cáo tiến độ, kết quả hoạt động, nêu những khó khăn và đề xuất giải pháp nhằm tối ưu hóa nguồn lực, đảm bảo tiến độ hoạt động trên địa bàn mở rộng sau sáp nhập tỉnh và dưới cơ chế 01 đầu mối điều phối thống nhất của QTMAC. Triển khai các quy định, kế hoạch mới: QTMAC thông báo tỉnh Quảng Trị đã ban hành Chương trình hành động (giai đoạn 2026-2035) và Kế hoạch hoạt động (giai đoạn 2026-2030) về khắc phục hậu quả bom mìn sau chiến tranh. Đồng thời, phổ biến các quy trình mới về: hợp nhất đường dây nóng, quản lý chất lượng, quản lý thông tin, phòng chống cháy nổ tại hiện trường và các chế độ báo cáo. Định hướng Quý III/2026: Kết luận cuộc họp, Đại diện QTMAC nhấn mạnh và đề nghị các tổ chức, dự án tiếp tục duy trì cơ chế phối hợp chặt chẽ, linh hoạt nhằm đảm bảo an toàn tuyệt đối trong quá trình hoạt động, bám sát mục tiêu, kế hoạch quý III đã đề ra. Ngoài ra QTMAC cam kết tiếp tục thực hiện vai trò điều phối, tiếp tục hỗ trợ và hoàn thiện các quy trình để đồng bộ cơ chế điều phối thống nhất nhằm hoàn thành tốt mục tiêu năm 2026. THE QUARTER 2st - 2026 COORDINATION MEETING On 7 July 2026, the Quang Tri Mine Action Center (QTMAC) convened a field operations coordination meeting of Quarter 2 with the participation of 30 representatives from MAG, NPA/RENEW, PeaceTrees Vietnam (PTVN), STA Project Coordinator; and the Military Liaison Officers (MLOs) of the organizations. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Van Hai - Operations Manager of QTMAC, the meeting focused on three key areas: Evaluating operational results & resolving obstacles: Organizations reported on their progress and operational results, highlighted difficulties, and proposed solutions to optimize resources and ensure operational progress in the expanded area after the merger and under the unified coordination mechanism of QTMAC. Implementing new regulations and plans: QTMAC announced that Quang Tri province has issued the Action Program (2026-2035) and the Operational Plan (2026-2030) on addressing the consequences of unexploded ordnance after the war. Simultaneously, new procedures regarding: consolidating hotlines, quality management, information management, on-site fire prevention and control, and reporting requirements were disseminated. Orientation for Q3/2026: Concluding the meeting, QTMAC’s representatives emphasized and requested that organizations and projects continue to maintain a close and flexible coordination mechanism to ensure absolute safety during operations, adhering closely to the goals and plans set for Quarter 3. Furthermore, QTMAC committed to continuing its coordinating role, providing support, and refining processes to standardize the coordination mechanism for successful achievement of the 2026 objectives. QTMAC ĐIỀU PHỐI RÀ PHÁ BOM MÌN, VẬT NỔ TRONG KHUÔN KHỔ CHƯƠNG TRÌNH ĐỐI TÁC THÁI BÌNH DƯƠNG NĂM 2026 Nhằm đảm bảo an toàn cho hợp phần xây dựng thuộc Chương trình Đối tác Thái Bình Dương - Bạn bè Thái Bình Dương năm 2026 (PP-PF2026), Trung tâm Hành động bom mìn tỉnh Quảng Trị (QTMAC) đã chủ trì điều phối Dự án PeaceTrees VietNam (PTVN) triển khai khảo sát và rà phá bom mìn vật nổ (BMVN) tại khu vực xây dựng nhà vệ sinh thuộc Trường Tiểu học số 1 Quảng Xuân, xã Quảng Trạch, tỉnh Quảng Trị. Sau khi tiến hành khảo sát thực địa, lập bản đồ khu vực và triển khai rà phá trên diện tích 413 m² với độ sâu đến 1,5m, các đội kỹ thuật của PTVN đã hoàn thành nhiệm vụ theo đúng yêu cầu kỹ thuật và tiến độ đề ra. Hoạt động được thực hiện với sự phối hợp chặt chẽ, đồng bộ, hiệu quả giữa QTMAC, PTVN, Ban Giám hiệu nhà trường cùng nhóm xây dựng thuộc lực lượng Hải quân Hoa Kỳ và sự chỉ đạo trực tiếp từ Sở Ngoại vụ. Ngay sau khi hoàn thành công tác rà phá, QTMAC đã phối hợp với các bên liên quan tiến hành bàn giao hiện trường đã được rà sạch bom mìn vật nổ để phục vụ triển khai công trình xây dựng theo kế hoạch. Việc hoàn thành và bàn giao mặt bằng rà sạch BMVN đúng thời hạn để xây dựng công trình không chỉ mang lại lợi ích thiết thực cho giáo viên và học sinh, mà còn là dấu mốc quan trọng về sự hợp tác hiệu quả giữa tỉnh Quảng Trị và đoàn Chương trình PP-PF2026, góp phần thắt chặt hơn nữa mối quan hệ tốt đẹp giữa Việt Nam và Hoa Kỳ. QTMAC đánh giá cao sự hỗ trợ và phối hợp tích cực của Dự án PTVN trong quá trình thực hiện nhiệm vụ, góp phần tạo điều kiện để công trình được triển khai đúng tiến độ, phục vụ nhu cầu học tập và sinh hoạt của giáo viên, học sinh nhà trường. QTMAC COORDINATES MINE CLEARANCE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP - PACIFIC FRIENDSHIP 2026 PROGRAM To ensure the safety of the construction component of the Pacific Partnership - Pacific Friendship 2026 (PP-PF2026), the Quang Tri Provincial Mine Action Center (QTMAC) has coordinated with PeaceTrees VietNam (PTVN) to conduct surveys and clear unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the toilet construction area of Quang Xuan No. 1 Primary School, Quang Trach commune, Quang Tri province. After conducting field surveys, mapping the area, and carrying out demining operations over an area of 413 m² with a depth of 1.5m, the technical teams of the PTVN completed the task according to the technical requirements and schedule. The operation was carried out with close, coordinated, and effective cooperation between the QTMAC, PTVN, the school's Board of Directors, the construction team from the US Navy, and under the direct guidance of the Department of Foreign Affairs. Immediately after completing the demining work, QTMAC coordinated with relevant parties to hand over the cleared site, facilitating the implementation of the construction project as planned. The timely completion and handover of the site cleared of unexploded ordnance (UXO) for the construction project not only brings practical benefits to teachers and students, but also marks an important milestone in the effective cooperation between Quang Tri province and the PP-PF2026 Program team, contributing to further strengthening the good relationship between Vietnam and the United States.
