Quang Tri Mine Action Center

The Vietnam Film Institute cooperates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Foreign Affairs Department and related units of Quang Tri Province to implement the Project "Revolutionary War Cinema - Connected Heritage and Forever Values"; Researching and Disseminating Materials on the People's War at the 17th Parallel”

Time: From 23 to 27 of July, 2022 (opening at 7:30 a.m on July 25).
Venue: Mine Action Visitor Center in Quang Tri Province, Building B, Service Center for foreign Affair, Nguyen Co Thach Street, Dong Ha, Quang Tri.
Executing unit: Vietnam Film Institute chaired, coordinated with: Quang Tri provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department; Quang Tri Foreign Affairs Department; The Joris Ivens Archives of the Netherlands; Medical Committee Netherlands – Vietnam.
Participants: Representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; relevant Departments under the Ministry, Provincial Leaders and agencies in Quang Tri province, Embassies of some countries in Hanoi: the United States, Norway, Ireland, the Netherlands, Cuba; ASEAN member states; representative of UNESCO Office in Hanoi; Peace Organization chapter 160 in Vietnam; Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association; foreign non-governmental organizations/projects: PeaceTrees Viet Nam, Quang Tri MAG Project; Quang Tri Mine Action Center; Medical Committee Netherlands – Vietnam; Project RENEW/NPA, veterans delegates, war correspondents and videographers, historians, film researchers…
Content of Exhibition is about 200 photos, posters and artifacts about Quang Tri through the perspective of domestic and international photographers under the following themes:
- Quang Tri Memoirs: Displaying images of the life and fighting of Quang Tri's army and people through the perspective of domestic and foreign cinematographers.
- International Solidarity for Quang Tri: Display of artifacts and images of international support for Quang Tri during the war.
- Mine action in Quang Tri: Displaying images of mine activities with the aim of ensuring safety and protecting people's lives.
- Quang Tri - Safe and Friendly Destination: Displaying pictures of historical landmarks becoming tourist attractions; introduce outstanding socio-economic achievements of Quang Tri province.

TRAINING COURSE ON BASIC IDENTIFICATION OF EXPLOSIVE REMNANTS OF WAR IN HUONG HOA, QUANG TRI

Following the success of the first two training courses in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri town and Hai Lang district, QTMAC continues to conduct a training course on basic identification of explosive remnants of war for 21 key staff at the communes and towns in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province from 1-2 August, 2024.
