On July 9, Mr. Do Van Dong, a resident of Huong Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district) while checking scrap iron on the railway line at km 429+290 in Kim Ninh village, Kim Hoa commune discovered a metal object suspected of being a bomb, so he reported to the local authorities.
After that, the Military Command of Tuyen Hoa district directed the Commune Military Command to coordinate with the commune police and local authorities to mark the location, stretch the ropes, plant flags, prohibition signs and organize guard forces. guarded all night to protect the area, and at the same time reported to the provincial military command for a solution.
On July 10, after determining that this was a bomb left over from the war, to ensure the safety of people and the circulation of the railway, Kim Lu station (Kim Hoa commune) had plan to stop the train from 10:43 to 14:00 on the same day for the forces to handle.
At the area, the bomb was found lying about 0.6m below the ground, about 6m from the track, with the detonator intact. Currently, this bomb has been safely transported to the T92 training ground waiting for the detonation date.
