The workshop brought together representatives from the Provincial Mine Action Database and Coordination Unit (DBCU); mine action operators including MAG, NPA, and PTVN; as well as coordinators and military liaison observers from the operators. The workshop aimed to review the 2025 outcomes, assess remaining challenges and agree on the direction and operational plan for 2026.
During the workshop, representatives of the mine action operators presented their reports, actively engaged in discussions, offered practical ideas and recommendations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of coordination in mine action efforts in the province.
The year 2025 posed numerous fluctuations and challenges for the operators. Nevertheless, the teams made strong efforts to overcome these obstacles and successfully met most of the planned targets, contributing to community safety and supporting local socio-economic development.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Vu, on behalf of QTMAC, acknowledged the valuable feedback and affirmed QTMAC’s commitment to incorporating all inputs to develop a more effective operational plan for 2026 and maintain sustainable cooperation. He also noted that QTMAC will report to the Provincial Mine Action Steering Committee to seek support in addressing challenges so that future activities can be implemented smoothly. He expressed sincere thanks to the operators for their effective cooperation, professionalism, and important contributions toward building a safe Quang Tri free from explosive remnants of war.
