On March 18, the engineering force of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command disposed of a magnetic bomb left over from the war in A Ngo Commune, Dakrong District.

Previously, during the organization of the mission in A Ngo commune, the patrol team of the Commune Mobile Police Platoon discovered a bomb at Km10, National Highway 15D. The bomb's origin, markings, and label were unknown.
Upon receiving the report, the engineering force – the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command arrived at the site, cordoned off the area, put up warning signs, guarded the site, and informed residents to evacuate to a safe location.

Through inspection, it was determined that this was a dangerous MK36 magnetic bomb, measuring 160cm in length and 27cm in diameter, with 80kg of explosive material inside. This type of bomb has an MK32 detonator, which cannot be moved and must be detonated in situ.
Following strict procedures, the engineering force - the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command successfully disposed of the bomb.
