According to the report, during a clearance operation in a confirmed hazardous area in Ward 3 on May 7, 2025, MAG Vietnam’s technical team discovered a stockpile of ammunition containing 43 explosive items. All of these items were located just 5cm beneath the surface.

After being deemed safe to move, MAG's technical staff transported these items to a controlled demolition site for safe disposal.
This discovery once again highlights that explosive remnants of war continue to pose a threat in residential areas and farmland across many provinces in central Vietnam.
Residents are strongly advised not to approach, move, or attempt to handle any suspected explosive items. Instead, they should immediately report them to local authorities or clearance teams.
